LEGAL
Modern Slavery Statement
A voluntary statement published by Solar Surveys Ltd in support of public-sector client and partner due diligence obligations.
1. Statement Period and Scope
Statement period: 4 November 2024 to 31 March 2026 (first financial year, voluntary disclosure).
Solar Surveys Ltd is a UK structural engineering practice for commercial solar PV pre-construction. As a small new company with an annual turnover below the £36 million threshold set by Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, Solar Surveys is not legally required to publish a statement. We publish this voluntary statement to support our public-sector clients and partners in their own due diligence obligations.
2. Our Business Structure
Solar Surveys Ltd was incorporated on 4 November 2024 (Companies House SC827786). We operate from 24 Potterhill Road, Glasgow, G53 5RR. Solar Surveys is an independent UK structural engineering practice. Our personnel are UK-resident professionals deployed across our UK city hub network and work under contract or employment with Solar Surveys Ltd.
We do not engage any overseas labour and do not operate outside the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and Western Europe.
3. Our Supply Chain
Our supply chain is limited to UK professional services (software, accountancy, insurance), UK telecommunications, and UK office consumables. We do not import goods, do not source raw materials, and do not subcontract internationally. All personnel are UK-resident professionals working under contract or employment terms with Solar Surveys Ltd.
4. Risk Assessment
Given the limited size, UK-only operating footprint, and professional-services nature of our supply chain, the assessed risk of modern slavery within our operations or supply chain is low. We will reassess this judgement annually.
5. Policies and Commitments
Solar Surveys requires:
- all engagements with hub network engineers operate under written contractor agreements that prohibit any form of forced or compulsory labour;
- any goods or services procured above £5,000 in a single engagement are subject to a written supplier check confirming UK or EU jurisdiction and lawful labour practices;
- any concerns about modern slavery, forced labour, or human trafficking encountered in the course of our work are reported to the UK Modern Slavery Helpline (08000 121 700) and our Managing Director immediately;
- this statement is reviewed annually, signed by the Managing Director, and published on our public website.
6. Approval
This statement is approved by Sahir Raihan, Managing Director, Solar Surveys Ltd, on 26 May 2026.
