Compliance and Regulatory

Structural Sign-Off

A signed statement from a qualified structural engineer confirming that a roof structure has been assessed and found adequate to carry the proposed solar PV array loads under all relevant Eurocode load combinations.

Structural sign-off is the document that closes out the structural compliance requirement in a solar PV project. It is required by MCS certification bodies, lenders providing asset finance, DNOs for certain connection applications, and institutional investors conducting technical due diligence on solar assets.

Solar Surveys issues structural reports signed by an Engineering Principal with relevant professional registration. Reports reference the specific load combinations checked, the structural members assessed, the data sources used, and the verdict: pass, conditional pass, or further investigation required. All reports are issued within the 48-hour delivery benchmark from instruction or site visit.
