MCS Approved Product

A solar PV panel, inverter, or mounting system that has been independently tested and certified to the relevant MCS product standard, required for inclusion in MCS-certified installations.

MCS product certification requires solar panels, inverters, and certain mounting systems to be independently tested against the relevant MCS product standard. Only products listed on the MCS Product Directory may be installed in MCS-certified systems. Product certification covers performance, safety, and manufacturing quality standards, providing assurance to end customers and lenders.

For commercial solar PV projects requiring MCS certification, design engineers specify products from the MCS directory. The structural engineering assessment covers the dead load and fixing characteristics of the certified mounting system specified for the project. Changes to the specified mounting system after structural sign-off may require the structural assessment to be re-checked against the new system's load data.
